Resources

Here you will find help and resources for parents and practitioners

Parents

You are not alone in feeling lonely. Being a parent can be really hard, and it’s okay to need a helping hand, a listening ear, or professional guidance. Whether you are looking for a local group to meet other parents or you need professional mental health advice, there are many resources available to you.

Practitioners

Our ongoing work is developing resources for professionals to help parents identify and overcome loneliness. The study has so far produced practical resources including an:

  • easy-read report with lots of information about experiences and causes of loneliness, and some suggestions on how to overcome it
  • animated film illustrating real-life experiences of loneliness that you can share with people you support. The films are also available in 'shorts', separating each story to tailor the videos to your audience.

Later on in 2026, we will publish a booklet for parents, posters to display in public places, and flyers to hand out. Sign up to our newsletter for updates.
